Big news – big picture!

There´s been some rumours about Nike doing snowboard boots for some time. And when Danny Kass left Vans and signed for the just named Nike all hell broke lose. The french site Fluofun has some good pictures on the coming snowboard boots The pics are from ISPO, of course.

Personally I think they tend to look a bit too much like the shoes from Back to the future. But then againg, Danny Kass is known for making all the right moves. But yellow next season again??

We mentioned Cooler magazine in a post earlier this month. A few days ago they relaunched their magazine and their website with a new design and some new features, see a preview of it here.

It was a while ago since I actually read Cooler magazine, but I thought it was really fresh then, even if I’m not really their target group. Hopefully the new version is even better.

Volcom Striation pants are clean, good looking and still technical. With 10 000 mm/10 000 mg you don`t really need to fear the snow (nor the sweat). The pants are lightly insulated over knees and seat. The fit is really good. Not to baggy. Also the pants have a full zip. Good to use if you want to take your pants on or off while keeping your boots on.

One thing I´m missing is the Volcom trademark zip together feature. Maybe it`s beacause I bought a sample really cheap on Ebay. But it would be really nice to try the zip interface. Especially since the zip feature works fine with my jackets from Norröna and Holden.

I went for the slate blue colour and it goes well with my other gear. Honestly, it was all about the looks (and the price) when I bought the pants. All in all I think that Volcom Snowwear gives us excellent outerwear with good quality.

Nike 6.0 has always been seen as an alternative to SB for the kids and/or the non-sneakerheads. But that has changed since Danny Kass signed to Nike (the coming snowboard boots range) and have been seen sporting the Mavrk. The Nike 6.0 are for chilling as well as for sporting.

Now Nike 6.0 just released the product catalogue for S/S 08. Just download the pdf and check it out. The shoes will be avaivable from april. And since it`s a no SB-show the shoes are both cheap and easy to get.

Is Design is one of these brands that you just can´t help to love. In our case we love the team (everyone from Mickey LeBlanc to Tadashi Fuse). The goggles from Is Design looks sooo good. And the ads are cool. The only problem is that the products (googles) aren`t really as good as you might expect. I have a pair of googles some years old (Logo series) and they don´t fit good nor are they comfy. But maybe that`s just me.

Anyway Is Design is about to release the new range of eyewear. This might be some of the best looking sunglasses for the summer of 08. At KiNK we´re really stoked about this one. Apparently the full catalogue is dropping in april. More info is coming – be sure about that!

As we all know layering is everything. Or at least it´s really important. As we mentioned some days ago you girls have some nice layering to choose between. This time we´ve taken a closer look at the products from eesa.

Our favourite is the Odium. A shirt so good looking that you can go straight to the office after a day at the slopes. And litterally that´s something you could do. Since the shirt is so hi tech that it really shouldn´t smell at all.

Eesa Lux layering as they call it themselves. Sure it´s lux, but it´s good lux. your regular layering from Burton, Helly hansen or who ever has about the same price tag. So treat yourself and check out the lux of eesa.
