We got these gloves some month ago. They look really good. With gore tex and an overall protection at 10.000mm & 15.000g it should keep you dry and fresh. Also it´s filled with primaloft insulation – a insulation which even wet gives you warmth. To top things of the palm is made of finest leather. And for best fit it´s got neoprene stretch panels. It almost feels like wearing a wet suit.
Our previous favourite from Burton – the Gore Tex Mitt & Gore tex Glove have both gotten a small make over this year. Still it looks good and most important – it´s gonna keep you warm. We´ve ridden in the coldest Norwegian winter with theses gloves and still had the feel of our fingers. And when it gets warmer the snow gets slushy – just remove the linears.
Red Bull Metro Ride is an event where mountain bikers go downhill but not in the ordinary way. The riders throw themselves down escalators in the subway systems of various citys. Pretty cool concept of a downhill contest if you ask me.
The last event where held in Budapest, Hungry back in September. The contest kicked off at midnight at the Hungarian subway station Deák tér. The 350 metres long course took the 36 downhill riders down escalators and stairs, through slippery narrow passageways and subway carriages. The winner with the fastest time was Gee Atherton.

The Doom binding has been around for a while. But they havn´t got too much attention. Apparently they are quite soft (as well as the coming Doom snowboard). Experts says that the triad is a better choice – unless you think that the P1 is to stiff. then I guess The Doom is perfect for you.
The biggest news is actually the new and improved toe cap.
Less material and better fit. At least that´s what Burton claims. It looks kind of weird but it´ll probably work just fine.
As usual with Burton it´s top of the line. Some say that this will be the next big thing for Burton. All bindings for 08/09 might have this new toe cap.

Protecting your head is really important when you’re out snowboarding or skiing. A helmet is the best alternative for this, I’m using a Cebe Ripper myself.
Ribcap is lighter alternative to helmets, it doesn’t offer as much protection as a helmet but it sure offers more than just wollen cap.
The caps have energy absorbing lightweight foam sewn in to the cap. If you for some reason don’t want to wear a helmet this could be an alternative for you.
There’s a protest going on in the North America and Burton is behind it. Four resorts in North America doesn’t allow snowboarding and Burton is supporting “poaching” to liberate these mountains. The resorts are Mad River Glen VT, Deer Valley UT, Alta Ski Area UT and Taos Ski Valley NM.
Burton throws down $5000 for the best documented poaching expierence at each resort. Basically you should film yourself and your crew snowboarding at these resorts and submit it to Burton.
However there are some rules what you shouldn’t do and the first one of the 10 poaching commandments is “Whatever you do, don’t break the law”
I think is pretty stupid with snowboarding prohibition at mountain resorts. Feels like it something that should’ve disappeared long time ago. So more power to the poachers! Check out the poaching videos at the Burton Poachers website.
Here’s three snowwear jackets for girls that all have one thing in common, they all have pink in them. This time of year when everyhing is getting darker and all the color fades away we need some vivid colors to cheer us up.
PLSTK – a new sneaker line that´s more focused on urban culture and eclectic and diverse materials than athletic activities. The current collection is in retro colours but still up to date. Some of the materials used are tweed and croc embassed leather. Plstk was founded by Neil Cueto and Mark Gamab just last year. The next line is to drop early spring. And from what we´ve heard it´s going to be massive!
